Maps of Brotherly Tenderness emerged as one of the responses to the loss of my younger brother who passed away unexpectedly in 2019. In the aftermath, I found I was drawn to the minutiae of the natural world and began to photograph this without any real sense of a project. I eventually saw these images as maps that traced the latticework of history I shared with my brother, and which now moved forward as part of my nervous system alone.They remain open and somewhat ambiguous.
