Glimmer came out of a period when myself and may people I knew had grown confused and disenfranchised from the country of my birth in the wake of Brexit. Could nature and the landscape become a kind of ‘holding place’ for deep narratives of belonging and identity? I left food, found objects, and mementoes in the environment. ‘Rediscovering’ them again after various periods of time had degraded them or the elements had left their mark on them. I then photographed them in-situ using mirrors as surfaces to further establish the objects and their relationship within the surrounding environment, creating their own inferred narratives.
